Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's Sutra is a production of Sadler's Wells full of energy, which is now touring around the world, achieving huge success and garnering rave reviews wherever it went.

The award-winning collaboration between choreographer Cherkaoui, sculptor Antony Gormley and 19 Shaolin monks from China has been presented to more than 250,000 enthusiastic spectators.

On Tuesday, September 3, at three o'clock in the afternoon, the Sutra group visited the authorized Shaolin Temple Greece 希腊 少林寺 • 文化 中心, at the invitation of the 34th generation of Greek Shaolin monk, Xi Yang Xiang 延 法师 法师 法师.

Master Xi Yang Xiang welcomed the group of 22 people with a warm welcome, together with his students, where from the first moment the whole group felt at home, the Shaolin Temple in China.

The head instructor of the team, Master Xi Ying Xuan 释 延 炫, had the opportunity to discuss with the Greek monk Xi Yang Xiang about the course of Shaolin culture in Greece in general, but also in particular the course of the Cultural Center, making an appointment next April of 2020, at the Shaolin Monastery in China.

Then there was vegetarian cuisine where everyone gathered and ate like a big family.

Finally, after some group photos were taken, Master Xi Xiang thanked the whole group for their visit and left by bus for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation for the scheduled performance at nine in the evening.
